Korbinian Hort | Director
Korbinian has applied a profound understanding about the psychology of adventure and nature experiences across a wide range of projects. His work has created a growing network linking powerful business leaders, psychologists, educators and outdoor professionals to a common mission: to facilitate the emergence of a peaceful world that our children will want to inherit.
Korbinian sees business leaders in the perfect position to put this mission into practice. With clarity of mind, they will transform our current economic system into a sustainable one.
The trick of sustainability is to nourish rather than impoverish other beings - a principle at the core of a huge cultural challenge. This is why Rudolf Bahro said: "When the forms of an old culture are dying, the new culture is created by a few people who are not afraid to be insecure". The first step into the unknown is always an adventure.
Korbinian graduated at the University of Edinburgh in Outdoor Education with Environmental Studies. He is founder of EasyDay and co-founder of ActiveEarth Training Limited.
Paul Engelbertink | Director
With many years experience in organising the logistical aspects of large group events, Paul provides efficient, solid foundations for our programs. Paul studied Sport, Economics and Communication at Fontys University in the Netherlands. During his management studies his passion and skills for coordinating adventure trips developed, and soon he was working in the tourism sector. After living in the beautiful mountains of France, and in the wonderful cultural atmosphere of Spain, Paul found his place with ActiveEarth/EasyDay, growing an appreciation of nature. He believes that there is great need for an ecological shift in our perception of our selves.
