Location
Catalonia is Spain’s most prosperous region. But beyond its bustling cosmopolitan capital Barcelona, Catalonia has preserved its traditional way of life and a pristine natural environment. Those who leave the beaten track still find medieval mountain villages carved with narrow cobblestone lanes, eremite monasteries and old roman viaducts. Warm hearted but proud people offer their hospitality.

The region is blessed with sun and colours. While people freeze in central Europe’s grey winter, the sun shines brightly over Catalonia’s mountains and plains.

ActiveEarth/EasyDay operate from two locations, a secluded mountain valley in the Garrotxa National Park and a bay inside the Cap de Creus National Park. Enjoy the contrasting environments within the same course: both of these locations are within an hour’s drive of each other.

  Mountains: Sant Aniol Nature Park
Active Earth   ActiveEarth/EasyDay’s Mountain Camp is based near Barcelona in the Garrotxa National Park, an hour’s drive from the coast. Framed by the bare crests of the high Pyrenees, the Garrotxa mountain range flows softly into the wide plains of the Costa Brava. It’s an old land, rich in culture and with

a history moulded by Greeks, Romans, and Arabs.

Active Earth   Our camp is based in the Sant Aniol valley, carved deep into colourful limestone cliffs by a clear mountain stream. In just a matter of kilometres, the meandering valley offers stunning views of steep cliffs, blue pools and shady tracks through deep forests, dry canyons and cascading waterfalls.

Spending time in the valley is deeply relaxing. Participants often tell us how the atmosphere helped them to regain mental peace and clarity.

The Sant Aniol valley has been our primary location of choice since 2001 and has revealed its magic to hundreds of participants.

Coast: Cap de Creus and Cadaques

Active Earth   The red earth is covered with olive trees and evergreen Macchia. The rough sea and the surrounding mountains create a special microclimate that sets the peninsula apart in terms of its plant

diversity and geological beauty. Salvador Dali lived and worked here and immortalised the land in his paintings. Walking along one of the peninsula’s secluded coves can feel like exploring a scene in one of Dali’s beautifully eerie canvases.

The true Cape de Creus magic, however, is best revealed from the sea. A trip in a kayak takes you along the rocky cliffs to coves and beaches inaccessible by foot. For an unforgettable underwater experience, board our catamaran “Panasha” and explore the clear marine waters of the Medas Island National Park. The isolated park hosts some of the best diving and snorkelling grounds in the world.
